hello, i am looking at purchasing a 1963.5 xl hardtop galaxie right now and wanted to know how i verify that the 390 engine block that i am told that is in the car is original to the car. Door tag states it came off the production line with a 390. i understand that its suppose to state FE 352 on the front of the block. And is there anthing else big for that I should be aware of when i take a look at the car this weekend at the first time to make sure it is factory correct that drops the market value of the car. Price is around 18k. I know old cars pretty well but not galaxies. ... See MoreSee Less

Went parts picking for my 78 at a local junkyard. Was about 7 late 70s ones. 78 I robbed from had bucket seats. Floor shifter. And the chrome that goes across the roof (from pass. To driver side) had pieces of chrome inside that and went down around the small middle window. Didn't say anything special on the car looked like a base model. Anyone know whats up with this car. I thought I would drop these off as well. My first car was the 1960 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop that my mother ended up buying for me. I was supposed to pay her back, I forgot, she forgot? I suppose she factored in all the work I did around the house. The price of the T-Bird? $150.00 in late 1971. My mother had me practice up and down our driveway until I got my license in January 1972 when I turned sixteen. ... See MoreSee Less
