HELP !! I need the front grill for a thunder bird 62 convert , Does any one now if I can buy it new or any one has one in perfect condition ? Thanks ... See MoreSee Less
I don't know if this is appropriete here, if not I apoligize but I've been trying to find a specific T-Bird. I'm actually in search of purchasing a low mileage 1977 to '79 Ford Thunderbird with the factory T-Top(T-roof) option ONLY. From what I understand Ford actually sent them out to a coachworks company starting in late '77 but then started installing the T-Roof themselves in '78 and '79. Either way, I Prefer a Landau or Heritage with Burgundy or Black exterior paint with white, red(burgundy) or silver vinyl/cloth interior. Must have the bucket seats and center console with floor shifter ONLY. Must also have working air cond., power windows, etc. Prefer with Sport dash cluster option with extra factory gauges instead of idiot lights. No repaints, no junkers, no rust or dents or faded paint and must be super low original documented mileage ( under 65,000 original miles). I am also looking for an American Custom Coachworks Sport Convertible Custom by ACC of Beverly Hills, CA. who produced 50 - 1978's, 149 1979's and a rumored 3 - 1977 prototype Thunderbird custom built convertibles, convertible project car. The cars can be located almost anywhere but I'm located in Chicago area so the closer the better but can even go into Canada if neccessary for the right car and right price.. Email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have one or know of one possibly for sale at or under $5K ONLY. Drivers ONLY, No Show cars. Have Cash, Will Travel. Thanks Much for the time and space. 🏁🏁

For those of you that do your own work on modern cars... this had me laughing out loud. From a Ford truck forum.
5.4L, #1 bank, right or left? I'm emotionally distressed and disoriented!
I went to Autozone to check my engine check light codes. I was told I had an O2 sensor on Bank 1, sensor 1 that was not working properly. I asked where is sensor one? He said it was on the left side. I buy an O2 sensor and put it on the left side -WRONG!!
It seems that the #1 bank on a 5.4L engine is on the left side of the engine when you stand in front of the truck and look at the engine. Unfortunately, I pitched a perfectly good O2 sensor in the trash and the next day was trash pickup. Therefore, I had to buy another $50 O2 sensor and put it on the left side of the engine which is on the right side of the truck!!
Now I'm confused and emotionally distressed. What is the left and right side? If I see a "NO LEFT TURN" sign, does that mean as I'm looking through the windshield driving the truck or does it mean as I stand in front and look at the engine?
If I am driving and go across the yellow line, will a policeman cite me for going left of center or right of center?
If I have to replace an actuator lever in my rear emergency brakes and the lever has "L" stamped on it does does it mean that I need to get a lever for the right rear brakes, because it is on the right side of the truck as I look at the engine?
I thought I would follow through with this with my doctor's appointment. I told my doctor that I has feeling tightness and pain in my left chest. He said I may be having a heart problem. I began to examine me, and I told him he was looking at my wrong side, it was the other side. He said then, it may be a gall bladder problem, but why did I say my left side? I told him it was my left side as he looked at me, and I thought it would help him in my diagnosis. Now, were both confused.
Maybe that's why our society is having so much trouble with orientations, perhaps we can't tell our left from our right, and male from female.
Any clarification out there in the cyberworld - I need some direction? ... See MoreSee Less

1980-82 THUNDERBIRD The Thunderbird continued to involve in its ninth generation, when it moved to Ford's "Fox" platform and lost another 775 pounds and 16 inches in length. Formal styling cues marked the base and Town Landau coupes, and the special Silver Anniversary Coupe priced at $11,679, had a unique roof design; it used the 131hp, 302-cu in. V-8 that was optional in lesser 'Birds. Six-cylinder Power became optional in 1981. The 1980 25th Anniversary Thunderbird became the 1981 and 1982 Heritage Edition. (Hemmings Classic Car) ... Ford Thunderbird 1975 20th Anniversary Copper Edition $35,000 - Parramatta, New South Wales I'm not sure if there's another one of these in Australia but this is a limited edition 20th Anniversary Copper Edition Thunderbird with a 469 Big Block with only 37,000 miles on the clock. This car is on full rego in NSW but would be lucky to get a run 4 or 5 times a year since I first bought it un 2006. Im the second owner of this car since new and have the original log books, brochure and original sale documents from the first owner. Although it looks great in the pics, there are some minor jobs needing done to get it into showroom condition but there is no visible rust in this car whatsoever. Being a limited edition and possibly a 1 of in Australia, Im not really sure how to price it but will be prepared to consider all reasonable offers.
