To our American friends, many of whom are ex military.
April 25th ANZAC DAY is a sacred day in Australia.
On this morning in 1915 at dawn troops from the
Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC)
stormed ashore on the Gallipoli Peninsular in the Ottoman Empire
The plan was to attack Germany from the rear.
The mission was a complete failure with 11,400 ANZAC, 27,000 British, 9,000 French and 86,000 Ottoman soldiers losing their lives before the evacuation in December 1915.
This day commemerates those who fought for our freedom in all wars.

Hello! Thank you for the add! A little about me... My first car at age 16 in 1980 was a 1971 Ford Thunderbird. She was oxidized paint grey when I received her, but after a weekend with compound and a rented buffer I discovered she was sky blue and her name was Millie, short for The Millennium T-Bird. I loved that car so hard... and drove her just as hard. Wound up passing her on (and to her junking... if I'd only known) in the late 80's when I got married and started moving around with the Air Force hubby. My second car was a 1983 Thunderbird... also blue. She (The Gay Deceiver) was traded in for a mini van when I was pregnant with our second. I was promised I could have another Thunderbird when the mini van days were done. Well. They have been done for a few years now... I would shop for a T-bird now and again, not really expecting to have another... until one day, driving by a dealership on chance I spotted, and nearly broke my neck doing a double take, the T-bird I have today. She is a 2002 convertible... and yes she is blue. Keeping with tradition of naming them after spaceships this one is named The Ketty Jay... although the original is technically an airship. I look forward to getting to know you all and doing fun things with my sweet little car. ... See MoreSee Less
